A STATEMENT FROM EFE ARABACI

I built BarePDF for the part of you that just wants to read.

A document should not become a pretext for a platform. Opening a PDF should not require a ceremony, an account, a cloud, or a subscription to a company that mistakes your attention for property.

Read the architectural refusal ↓
A visual representation of reading simplicity vs platform extraction.
Between convenience and custody, the reader remains.

01 / THE KINGDOM OF SOFTWARE

Techno-feudalism, now with frictionless onboarding.

We have entered an age where a handful of platforms rent tools that used to be ordinary objects. They collect telemetry at the gate, request logins before displaying local files, and label that dependence convenience. The castle is often a dashboard. The tax is often an unsolicited notification.

02 / BARE MEANS ENOUGH

A quiet reader is an intentional engineering stance.

BarePDF opens documents locally. No mandatory account. No cloud dependency. No tracking disguised as helpfulness. No advertising placed into the margins. Update checks are strictly opt-in. The reader spends resources strictly on the page, not on a feature parade designed to justify monthly subscriptions.

03 / THE DELIBERATE REFUSAL

Less theater. Genuine ownership.

There will be no loyalty points for opening a file, no badges for browsing a settings panel, and no cloud-shaped wall built around local storage. Reading is not a social network. BarePDF leaves room for the document, the machine, and the human being reading.
